There are plenty of good diet books on the market today, yet we are still losing the weight loss battle.  There are a couple of reasons why most diets fail (fail to keep the weight off long term) but the main reason is that they fail to apply change into someone’s life without overwhelming them.  They don’t explain to the reader how to best eliminate bad eating habits and how to develop good ones.  They expect that people can just get up one morning and start eating a completely different way than they are used to doing.  They wrongly assume that once somebody starts seeing results they are motivated to stick with their diet program.  WRONG!  If results were enough to motivate, then why can’t most people stick with the diet that helped them lose the weight and why do they end up regaining all the weight?   The fact is the best results in the world will not keep you motivated if you achieved those results through a method that overwhelmed you, and I think there is plenty of proof.

 

At Olympus we have developed a very simple program to help our clients make permanent changes in their dietary habits.  With our approach, we don’t just teach our clients what foods to eat and what foods to avoid.  We show them step by step how to best eliminate their bad eating habits and at the same time develop good eating habits.  This program has been a great success with our clients at Olympus and we now offer the same program to corporations to help their employees lose weight and improve their health.  A nice side effect of healthy employees is that they get sick less often which is good for them and for the company.  Our program carries a very low risk of burnout and is very easy to follow.

In my 16 years in the weight loss field I have identified 14 eating habits which will make the biggest difference in people’s weight and health.   Most people only need to apply 2 to 4 of these 14 habits into their life in order to lose weight but I still suggest applying all 14 habits overtime.  What is great about this program is the approach.  We focus on one eating habit at a time so the risk of getting overwhelmed is very low.  The biggest mistake I see people make is trying to change too many eating habits at once so they can lose weight fast.  As I have said before, trying to make too many changes at once is the best way to burn out regardless of the results you achieve.  For the people who want to lose weight fast, I have one question?  What is the point of losing weight fast, if you are going to regain it all back again? Wouldn’t you rather take a few extra months to lose the weight the right way and never have to worry about your weight again? 

 

How the Corporate Program works

It is very simple.  Once per week, Stavros, the creator of this program, will come to your location for a 30 minute meeting.  At the meeting, Stavros will pick the eating habit that the group will work on for the next few weeks.  The eating habits are chosen in the order of importance.   Each participant will receive a small booklet with the eating habit that they should be working on.  The booklet will help the participant stay on track with the application of the eating habit.  As people begin to apply the new eating habit into their lives, there are always obstacles that get in the way.   During the weekly meeting is the time to bring up any of those obstacles.  Many obstacles they will face, other people before them have already faced and we have come up with solutions.  Once in a while, new obstacles come up that no one else has faced before.  If that is the case, Stavros will sit with the person and help them come up with a solution that best works for them.

Most people take between 2 to 4 weeks to apply a new habit into their life.  They do not have to wait for the whole group to move to the next habit.  They can start working on the new eating habit as soon as they are ready.

In addition to helping participants change their eating habits, we will help them increase their everyday walking by having them track the number of steps they take per day through the use of a pedometer.   We have developed a very simple step reporting system that is already in use with great success with our clients at Olympus and is very easy to stick with.

Investment

The cost is only $10 per week and they pay 4 weeks at a time.  In an effort to give more personal attention to all people in the group, we like to keep the groups between 6 to 15 people.  If your company has more than 16 people who would like to participate in our program, we can create more groups.
