About The Project

This is an educational movement to inform the public on facts they need to know about sustainable weight loss and better health, that unfortunately, the mainstream nutritionists and fitness professionals are not teaching them.  Let's face it, whatever the weight loss and fitness industry have been teaching people about losing weight and getting in shape, is not working.   The obesity rate has gone from 12.6% in 1992 to over 35% today and still climbing.  Currently, only around 5% of the people who lose weight, are able to keep the weight off.  The vast majority of people who lose weight, end up regaining the weight back.  It's almost considered normal to be regaining the weight back these days.  The fact is, it's not normal.  The only reason most people end up regaining the weight back is not because there is something wrong with them, but because there is something seriously wrong with the way most weight loss and diet programs approach weight loss, which makes it almost impossible for people to achieve sustainable weight loss.  This is why, in the past 20 years, although we have more than doubled the amount of money we spend on weight loss products and services, which is over $60 billion per year, our weight as a nation has continued to go up. At this rate according to NHANES (The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey), 50% of the US population will be obese by the year 2030.

Stavros wants to prevent this from happening and wants to reverse the weight gain trend that our country and the western world is currently experiencing.  This is why he has initiated The Sustainable Weight Loss Project.  The goal of this project is to increase the number of people who are able to keep the weight off from 5% to over 70% and reverse the weight gain trend.   Stavros believes he can achieve this goal by getting the word out on how sustainable weight loss is possible, which by the way, is not that hard.   Unfortunately, it will be an uphill battle because Stavros’s message will be competing with well-funded misinformation on weight loss and better health, which is the main reason why we are losing the weight loss battle in the first place.  By himself, he will not be able to reach enough people to make a difference, this is why is asking for everyone's help to spread the word by sharing the information with all your friends and family.  If everyone pitches in and help spread the word, we can reach enough people to make a difference and reverse the weight gain trend and make our country healthy again.

Stavros will be getting the truth out on sustainable weight loss through online and offline vehicles like: Live Your Way Thin YouTube channel, Live Your Way Thin Facebook page, his blog, and public speaking.
Stavros also hopes to attract other like-minded fitness professionals that will join his quest to reverse the weight gain trend that the western world is experiencing today.   Through a collective effort, Stavros truly believes we can reverse the trend and avoid the awful fate that awaits us if we don’t start making changes now.

How You Can Access  Information On Sustainable Weight Loss

Below you will find the many ways you can get informed on what works and what does not work when it comes to sustainable weight loss.  Please share this information with your friends and family.  Only together we can finally win the weight loss battle.

Presentation:  How to Live Your Way Thin… and Stay Thin for Life!

Here is a fact that might shock you.  Nobody really has a weight problem, what we have is a habit problem, weight gain is only the symptom of our habits.  If you want to lose weight and keep it off you must eliminate the habits that caused you to gain weight and develop healthy ones.  The problem today is that most weight loss programs don’t focus on the habits people need to change, but instead on the weight people want to lose, so they don’t really help people eliminate the root cause of weight gain.  This is one of the main reasons why the clear majority of people (around 95%) who lose weight, regain the weight back.

What You Will Learn from This Presentation:

  • The 4 behaviors that have the biggest effect on your weight and health
  • Why good diets and weight loss programs fail to deliver sustainable results
  • The 3 most important eating habits that most diets and nutritionists don’t teach
  • How to ensure that you keep the weight off after you lose it
  • Why exercising too much can be as bad as not exercising at all

There will be time at the end for Q & A
